WEIGHTS AND CONDITIONING
Fee: $7 PE Shirt
This course will specialize the student’s fitness level by increasing flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, as well as cardiovascular endurance. This will be accomplished through a program of required core lifts (bench, squat, clean) as well as auxiliary lifts designed to meet students needs. There is a strong emphasis on plyometric and performance related activities (balance, agility, speed, power, and core strength) and aerobic exercise. Grading is based on student participation (dress code), completion and improvement in core maxes. This course is offered during the school day as well as 0 hour.
- Cardiovascular Endurance (Mile, Pacer, 400)
- Muscular Strength and Endurance (Bench, Squat, Power Clean)
- Presidential Fitness Components (Mile, Sit and Reach, Push up, Crunches, Shuttle Run)
