English 10, Pre-Advanced Placement

General Description

Prerequisite: English 9

Building on the skills learned in English 9, English 10 Pre-AP continues instruction in reading and writing with an emphasis on preparing students to take AP Lang and Comp as juniors. This class utilizes close reading, various discussion models, the whole class study of a variety of novels, a variety of writing tasks, and several project and presentation assessments as well as grammar and vocabulary.
