AP Government & Politics (U.S.) at our school is a year-long course designed to meet or exceed the experience of an introductory one-semester college Government and Politics course. The intent of this course is to increase the understanding of the American political system, it’s framework, traditions and values. This course offers students the opportunity to see how individuals and their ideas can shape the world in which they live. It invites them to explore central questions of liberty and justice in practice. Fees: Optional AP Exam Fee (Approx. $100.00)
This course is concerned with the nature of the American political system and its development over the past two centuries. We will examine in detail the principle processes and institutions through which the political system functions, as well as some of the public policies, which these institutions establish and how they are implemented.
