Science
The Science curriculum is designed to provide students with learning experiences that promote the development of scientific literacy. Students deal with the major principles and concepts of science, the processes and skills associated with laboratory investigations, the interpretation of scientific information, as well as the role of science in our society. Students must take three years of laboratory science for graduation. One year of Biology, one year of Chemistry, one semester of Physics, and one semester of a science elective are the minimum requirements. Human Anatomy/Physiology or AP Science courses can be taken either to fulfill the third year science requirement, as a fourth year of Science, or for additional science credit. Those students considering a career in a science field are advised to enroll in as many science courses as their schedule will accommodate.
