March 1st, Enumclaw High School Career Day welcomed several guest speakers, including welcoming back Guide Dogs for the Blind puppy-raising group.
It has been several years since the High School has seen Guide Dog Puppies in training on campus. Students in Animal Science and Floral met the Guide Dog puppies in training. They heard about the club, its previous connections to Enumclaw High School, and the opportunities available to students. A special guest, Tana Vaughn, an alumnus of EHS and a former puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind, talked about how she used her previous experience and love of dogs to become a professional dog trainer. She demonstrated some of the behaviors she trains her clients' dogs.
