Our excursion to Bainbridge Island was a tremendous success thanks to the beautiful weather and coordinated efforts of our EHS German Instructor, Alysha Holmquist, GAPP partner teachers, and the school district. The trip included 21 visiting German students and their teachers, as well as our own Alysha Holmquist and Allison Crane who braved both land and sea to tour the island and the city and give our visitors something to remember. Even their ferry ride home was something to talk about as it arrived late which caused them to miss their train back to Auburn Station. Fortunately, they were able to catch the next one and their ESD bus driver, Vera, was very accomodating and waited for us and delivered us safely back to the school. Ms Holmquist was extremely grateful to the EHS building admin. team, the ESD transportation department, and of course their fabulous driver Vera, for their creative efforts which allowed for the students to have this great experience. High School Seniors! FAFSA and WASFA are open. Everyone should apply for FAFSA. Are you interested in going to Highline College? Do you want the opportunity to tour the campus and see all they offer? There will be a field trip to Highline College on April 10th. Space is limited, so sign up and pick up a permission slip in the CTE Office starting today! Permission Slips are due no later than March 29th.

On Wednesday, 3/13, we received and are hosting 21 German exchange students from Eggenfelden, Bavaria. They will be here for two weeks for a cultural experience and get to stay with EHS German students. This is the 30th anniversary of EHS's partnership with our german sister school! This June, 21 EHS students will be traveling to live with them in Germany!

There are over 40 local scholarships that seniors can apply to. The instructions for filling out the scholarships and the list of scholarships available are in the document attached below. Registration for 9 - 11th grades is March 11 - 15, 2024. Students will register for their schedule in their English classes.

AP Testing is fast approaching. If you have changed your mind and have decided not to take the AP Test, the last day to opt out of the test is MARCH 8th. Fees will apply. ASVAB is a test used by the military to determine the placement of someone enlisting in the military. The higher the score, the more opportunities there are. It isn't just for people who want to enlist in the military. Senior Perks: Today Parents of the Senior Class were at lunches getting the word out about the Grad. Night Party. The Class of 2024 Grad Night Party is a parent planned and chaperoned, overnight party with lots of activities at surprise locations. Immediately following the commencement festivities, students will leave directly from the graduation in chartered transportation and be returned to Pete's Pool around 6 a.m. on June 13th. Price: $225.00 (pay and save now as prices are going up in March) Tickets must be pre purchased and scholarships are available. Please return permission slips to the main office. FAMILY RESOURCE FAIR: Create connections with community agencies, college representatives, legal resources, transit options, and specialized groups that can help our Special Education students and their families work toward their goals. Visit the EHS Commons on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM. The event is geared toward families of students in Kindergarten through age 21.
