"Stair took to Instagram, where she said she found brands and influencers who were helping teachers clear wish lists loaded with supplies to set up their classrooms. She now has 19,000 followers and counting.
Stair decided to share her strategy with other teachers, compiling techniques that worked for her to help as many teachers as possible. She created a website with thousands of teacher wish lists where donors can search and find teachers to support in their area.
The site allows you to filter to find teachers anywhere at a state level, down to a city level, and even by department and years of service.
“You’ll get a link directly to their Amazon wish list where you can purchase items, and they’re sent directly to that teacher’s classroom,” Stair said.
The Clear the List project took off thanks to the power of social media. Stair said she went from 50 featured teachers to 20,000 in a single summer, raising more than half a million dollars last summer. This summer, the website is going international, opening up to teachers across the globe."
