Due to ongoing power and technology outages, Byron Kibler Elementary and the Birth to Five Center are closed today. All other schools are fully operational and will be open today. Open schools will run on the regularly scheduled half-day schedule. Conferences will occur at open schools only. Buses will be on normal routes. Birth to Five families will receive additional information related to programming in a follow-up message. Please note there will be no out-of-district transportation. Buses will run on normal routes. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families.

Due to our low numbers in wrestling, TMMS will combine with EMS to create a team. The first day of practice will be Monday, October 29th, and will be held at EMS from 3pm-5pm. Students will have transportation from Thunder Mountain to EMS and parents will need to pick up from EMS at the end of practice. Dear Thunder Mountain Middle School Families, This morning, we received a report regarding a non-credible threat that has circulated as a rumor across multiple districts in our area. We want to assure you that we take these matters very seriously and are committed to maintaining a safe environment for all our students and staff. The threat, which originated on social media (Snapchat), has not been recognized as credible and has been traced to neighboring cities. We will continue school as scheduled. We are working closely with the Enumclaw Police Department, and out of an abundance of caution, there will be increased police presence on our campus today. We want to emphasize that the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority. Please remind your students of the consequences of spreading false information and social media “trends.” Rumors can create unnecessary panic and disrupt our school community. It is vital that any concerns or information be reported directly to school administrators and/or law enforcement rather than shared through unofficial channels or reposted on social media. This helps us respond effectively and ensures that we maintain a safe environment for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and support. A message from our ESD Technology Team: The district will experience a planned system shutdown from Friday, July 12, to Saturday, July 13, to complete technology upgrades and core system maintenance work. Phone calls to district employees and school offices will not be received during this outage.

Reminder From the District Nurse: If your student has medications in the Health Room please arrange for pick up before the last day of school. All medications remaining in the Health Room after the last day of school, June 18, 2024, will be disposed of.

Update: Our phone lines are currently functioning. However, Lumen is still working to resolve underlying issues. ... We are currently experiencing issues with our outside phone lines. Schools and district offices cannot receive calls from outside lines. Lumen has a technician working to identify and resolve the issue. We currently do not have an ETA for the restoration of service. If parents/families need to contact their school, we recommend using email until this is resolved.

May 10, 2024, is School Communicators Day! Thank you to the District Communications Team, office managers, principals, teachers, and many other staff members who keep families and the community in the know.
